PRIVACY POLICY

 

This is the official privacy policy for BRAGFOLIO (also referred to herein as “Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) available at the URL <bragfolio.com>.  This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs the personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) collected by this Site only. 

 

Introduction

 

Our Privacy Policy is intended to explain our privacy practices including informing you about the following:

 

  • The kinds of Personal Information we collection from users of our Site;
  • How we use your Personal Information;
  • Disclosure of your Personal Information;
  • How you can access and update your Personal Information;

Information We Collect

 

Our Site is intended to make it easy for Job Applicants to share their “brag books” with prospective Employers.  When you sign up to use our Site we need to know certain information about you so that we can provide our services.  For example, in order to create an account at our Site, we ask you for the following Personal Information, regardless of whether you are a Job Applicant or an Employer:

 

First and Last Name;

E-mail Address;

 

In addition, we ask you to select a Password, Security Question, and to tell us which Industry you are involved in.  If you are an Employer, we also ask for your Company Name. 

 

After you provide us with this information, an account may be created for you at our Site.

You can then provide Additional Information about yourself, at your discretion.  This Additional Information is contained in your Profile data. 

 

For example, if you are a Job Applicant then Additional Information you might add to your Profile may include General Information, and information about your Education, Employment, Skills, Brag book, and Interests/Activities. 

 

If you are an Employer then Additional Information may include items such as your Address and Telephone number. 

 

How We Use Your Personal Information

 

We use your Personal Information primarily to administer your account with us and customize our services that we provide to you.  This may include using your Personal Information to help us make decisions about the services we offer or the advertisements you see when you use our Site. 

 

We may also use your Personal Information to communicate with you about your account at our Site, including sending you service notices or promotional communications pertaining to our service through email. 

 

Also your Personal Information, including your E-mail Address, is used to authenticate your identity when you login to our Site. 

 

If you are a Job Applicant, your Personal Information may be used when an Employer wishes to contact you.  For example, if your profile is public then Employers will be able to browse and view your Name and Profile data.  Additionally, Employers will be able to contact you by e-mail through our communication system.  However, when an Employer contacts a Job Applicant using our communication system the Job Applicant’s E-mail Address will not be disclosed.

 

Disclosure of Your Personal Information

 

We do not sell, rent, lease or disclose your Personal Information to unaffiliated entities, except in the limited circumstances listed below.

 

We have the right to share your Personal Information with contractors who provide services on our behalf.  These third party contractors are the specialists who make our Site function. 

 

For example, these specialists offer services such as Site design, development, hosting, and other operations which make our Site work.  Other third party contract service providers may help us communicate with you through electronic mail, direct mail, or telephone communication. 

 

We always request that our contract service providers also protect your privacy and not disclose your Personal Information to third party marketers that are not associated with us.  Additionally, such providers are not to use your Personal Information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

 

We will make your Personal Information available to non-affiliated third parties only in the following limited circumstances:

 

  • When we are compelled to do so by a governmental agency, court or other entity (e.g., to respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process);
  • If we believe your actions violate any law, regulation, our Terms of Use Agreement, or if you threaten the rights, property or safety of the Site, operational service providers, suppliers, other customers or users, or any other party;
  • If, in our sole discretion, we believe such disclosure to be necessary or appropriate to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries, to protect our business and assets, to defend our interests and/or to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; or
  • In the event of a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, transfer of control, joint venture or other business combination involving us, or our related companies.

 

When you login to your account, we provide you with the means to control whether your Profile data is publicly available.  If you select to make your Profile public then Employers may view certain Personal Information about you, including without limitation, your Name as well as any information or data contained in your Profile. 

 

Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information

 

Your E-mail Address and Password are used to authenticate your identity when you login to our Site.  Using this Personal Information you may login to our Site and modify your account with us.  This includes updating your Personal Information and Profile. 

 

How We Protect Your Personal Information

 

We know it takes confidence and trust to share Personal Information online.  We endeavor to keep your confidence and maintain your trust by protecting your Personal Information.  To that end, we maintain reasonable standards of security and confidentiality.

 

However, despite our efforts, as with most Internet sites, it is possible that third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions of private communications. Whenever you provide Personal Information online, you accept this risk, including when you share your Personal Information with us. 

 

Notwithstanding these inherent risks, we make a concerted good faith effort to ensure that your Personal Information is protected by maintaining the reasonable standards of security and confidentiality mentioned above.  We request that our contract service providers follow the same policy.

 

Your Rights

 

You have a right to access, modify, correct and eliminate the data about you which has been collected pursuant to your decision to become a user of our service. If you update any of your information, however, we may keep a copy of the information which you originally provided to us.

Updates

 

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy.  If changes are made to our Privacy Policy, we will publish the updated version of our Privacy Policy here.  However, please rest assured that if our Privacy Policy changes in the future, we will not use your Personal Information in a manner that is materially inconsistent with this Privacy Policy, without your prior consent.
